Dear Member,

Love, chocolate and common sense…

Charles M. Schulz, the creator of the legendary Peanuts, once said, “All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.”

And while that sentiment might work well around Valentine’s Day, I would like to add “and a little common sense” to the equation as well. To this end, in this issue we explore a few tips on managing your finances if you are in a relationship and look at what your rights are if your employment contract is suddenly terminated at retirement age.

At MISA, we always strive for sanity to prevail in all matters legal and HR-related, but also want our members to be informed so that they are able to add some "common sense" to their lives. We hope that our various communication mediums contribute to this in some way.

Last but not least, we would like to urge our members to nominate a colleague for the 2015 MISA Woman of the Year award. If you are not able to nominate someone online, you can download the form in PDF format here.

May you have a wonderful month filled with love and happiness!

We look at what your rights are if you are told you have reached retirement age and your employment is therefore terminated.
