Dear Member,
We’ve all heard the saying that life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, but rather about learning to dance (and sing!) in the rain. By all accounts 2016 might very well be the year that we all need to invest in some dancing shoes…

Economists and industry gurus are not exactly bullish about the outlook for 2016, but as entrepreneurs in the motor retail industry, we cannot afford not to have a positive disposition.

Most of us have been around long enough to know that our industry, as our economy, is cyclical – and what goes down, must come up again (some time!).

The good news is that there is an expected upturn in the used vehicle market, and as a collective force, we will focus on making the most of that trend.

At the IDA we are, as always, working hard at offering our Dealer Members the very best support and advice that we can, and we will continue to do so through not only this communiqué, but our roadshows, training sessions, Dealer Forums, behind-the-scenes lobbying, product innovations, and much more.

I would like to wish you a somewhat belated happy 2016 and all the best for the year.

Until next time,

Pieter Wessels
CEO IDA Group of Companies
