The annual West Rand Music Festival will be held from 2 – 7 May this year and the IDA Care Foundation is a proud supporter thereof.

The festival is open to choirs, dance and solo acts, bands and any other type of musicians. Prospective participants need to enter before 1 March 2016 though.

The festival affords artists the opportunity to perform live before an audience and to gain experience and receive valuable feedback from professional adjudicators, according to organiser Gordon Woods.

Each participant receives a mark sheet after their performance providing them with feedback by the professional adjudicators.

Participants also receive certificates for participating and a prize-giving is held where winners of every category are honoured.
