How does this system work?

Workmen's Compensation can be compared to medical insurance for employees who sustain injuries at work.

All registered business owners pay an annual fee for each employee position filled at their company or small business.

This fee acts like medical insurance for employees who sustain injuries at work.

When a legitimate injury occurs, the commissioner pays all of the medical bills for the injured worker (such as doctor’s visits, physiotherapy, x-rays, surgeries and the like), as well as other company expenses, such as 75% employee’s salary whilst off work and travel expenses if appropriate.
