Dear Member
We are in the last quarter of the year, and the end
of the year is approaching faster than a Highveld thunderstorm.
In this issue, we share important information on
what you should not do when you are retrenched or
treated unfairly at work, we look at the importance of disability
awareness in the workplace, and share tips on how to beat
loneliness in the workplace.
This month is also
breast cancer awareness month, and we urge all our members
– female and male – to be aware of the symptoms and risks
of this condition. Conduct regular self-examinations and
screenings, and take the necessary preventative steps. Remember,
early detection is key to survival.
Lastly, but
equally importantly, please ensure that your MISA Membership
fees are up to date by checking the deductions on your payslip
every month.
All the best until next time,
Kind regards,
Martlé Keyter, CEO Operations
Motor Industry Staff Association (MISA)

the fastest-growing health epidemics in
the world. While we are more ‘connected’
– think Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp,
email – than ever before, the rates of loneliness
have doubled since the 1980s.
