MISA members at non-RMI establishments qualify for the normal MISA Benefit Fund to which all active MISA members automatically belong, and which pays out in the unfortunate event of the death of the principal member.

Increased cover
This cover increases to R35 000 in 2018, while the normal MISA Funeral Cover increases to a maximum of R10 000 pay-out to cover funeral expenses of the principal member, spouse or partner and children aged 14 to 18 years of age.

A funeral cover of R7 000 applies to children under the age of 14.

Membership fees
In 2018, membership fees will be R22.50 per week.
