Pilot phase of Disability Management Project kicks off

The pilot phase of MISA and the RMI’s joint Motor Industry Workplace Disability Management Project has been launched at Bidvest McCarthy Nissan’s Gauteng dealerships from 15 January 2018.

The pilot will run for about a month and will include general information sessions attended by both managers and general staff and a specialised capacity building training session for the various Disability Management Champions and senior managers, including dealer principals.

Colyn Nel, Franchise Executive at Bidvest McCarthy Nissan, says the team is excited to be involved. “We are strong campaigners for equal opportunities and are proud to be one of the pilot sites for this important project,” he notes.

According to Thandeka Phiri, MISA’s National Training Manager, the team is getting ready for the wider rollout of the project. “We will keep our members informed about the developments regarding this project,” she says.
