A 16th birthday is a milestone in every teen’s life. But even more so for Henru Grobbelaar, who has far surpassed his doctors’ expectations.

Henru was in a horrific car crash at the age of nine months. He suffered severe brain trauma and doctors did not hold much hope for his survival.

As a working single dad of four, his father Hendrik has cared for Henru through many adversities and medical procedures. He has done so with selfless care, patience, sacrifice and most of all, love.

Hendrik needs R12 000 per month to provide in Henru’s needs and the IDA CARE Foundation recently contributed R30 000 towards this cause. Because we CARE!

Henru also recently realised a life-long dream and met his hero Arnold Swarzenegger, when he was visiting South Africa. "Arnie" is pictured with Henru and Hendrik above.
