Coping in difficult times

There's no doubt that we are living in turbulent times. As a business owner, political uncertainty, the tough trading environment, service delivery and student fees protests may be overwhelming at times and give way to stress.

You can, however, handle stress in many positive ways and implement tactics to help you better manage and develop your resilience.

To this end, I recently came across a number of tips from the American Psychological Association (APA) to help foster your resilience. They recommend to: accept change, make connections, keep your perspective, look for opportunities, be grateful for what you have and remain positive. Yes, it is sounds easier than what it is, but it sure beats throwing in the towel. Click here for more.
