Dear Member

What are you doing this Mandela Day?

Tuesday, 18 July, is Mandela Day and in the spirit of the late, great Madiba, South Africans are urged to spend 67 minutes of their time doing something charitable. Do send us photos of what you did to honour the legacy of this great icon in our country’s history.

As this issue of the MISA eDATA reaches you, we are speeding towards our Regional AGMs as well as the MISA Women’s Forum Breakfasts. These events are happening next month and if you haven’t already diarised them, I would urge you to add them to your calendar now.

We also calculate the risk of poor performance in the workplace and emphasise the importance of saving. Remember, it is never too early or too late to put some cash away!

Member contributions: check your playslips
Last, but certainly not least important: Please check your payslip that your MISA membership contribution is being deducted from your salary. The MISA subscription is R20.50 per week, so for a four-week cycle, the deduction will be R82.00 and for a five-week cycle it will be R102.50. It is important to stay up to date with your membership fees to qualify for MISA's many benefits or in case you suddenly need legal advice or financial assistance. All the best until next time,

Kind regards,

Martlé Keyter, CEO Operations
Motor Industry Staff Association (MISA)
